Coaching Courses/Licenses

Coaching courses/licenses are great ways to bolster your knowledge of how to coach, what to coach and what to expect when coaching youth soccer.  Regardless of your experience coaching or playing, it is highly recommended that every volunteer coach participate in a coaching education program.  Courses/licenses are usualy specific to age-groups and level of play and are usually held between seasons.  Most course are offered through our State soccer assciation, with advanced, higher level courses offered from National organizations such as the USYSA, USSF and the NSCAA.  To learn more about coaching courses/licenses and to find courses offered in our area, CLICK HERE.

 

Coaching Courses offered at Dacula Soccer Club

"G" License
When: February 9th, 2013

Time: 12-4pm

Location: Rabitt Hill Park 

 

"F" License

When: February 9th, 2013

Time: 9am-5pm

Location: Rabitt Hill Park

 

If you want to attend a course you must sign up online with GYSA.  DSC will reimburse our coaches for taking these classes and staying with the organization.

State 'G' Certificate Coaching Course - Free

This course is aimed at coaches and parents of U-5 through U-8 players. The course is four hours long and provides fun activities that enhance players' skill development, discusses strategies for coaching the younger age groups, as well as what to expect from your young players. Attendance is required to receive the G Certificate. If you are coaching U-5 through U-8, you must start at the ‘G’ course. Previous playing or coaching experience cannot be used to waive the ‘G’, no exceptions.

State "F" Certificate Coaching Course - Free

The F Course is tailored for the coach who is working with U-10 and U-12 recreational players. The emphasis is on teaching young players through fun games. The course consists of 7 hrs of instruction and practice. Attendance is required to receive the F Certificate. If you are coaching Recreational U-10, you must start at the F course. The G course is not a pre-requisite. Previous playing or coaching experience cannot be used to waive the F course if you coach U-12 Rec. No exceptions. Minimum of 10 registrations required to hold class.
